I Will Learn To Love Again - Kaci |
] |
Got back from San Mateo some hours ago. We (Mom and I) went there for Thanksgiving to see all of the family. I'll tell you, I think as the generations pass, we're getting nicer and nicer.
Those people were terrible.
I'm sorry but they were. They were cracking mean jokes about everyone and when they weren't listening the people they were joking with would start cracking jokes about them! It was unbelievable. Leslie, Pat, Kye and I were like the only people who never said anything rude. (That's because we're the most recent generation)
Anyway, it was nice to see my cousin, Kye. I hadn't seen him in forever. When I walked up to him, he gave me this big hug! I loved it! (by the way he's 20) He was amazed at how much I had grown since the last time he had seen me. He kept making comments like "Damn, you've grown so much!" I love him! ^.^
Besides that, we had the normal turkey and all that other jazz. We all sorta talked and drank wine (even me, though it was non-alcoholic). I really don't like the taste of it...
After, we sorta all took pictures and then said our goodbyes while everyone filed their way out. Like an hour later Leslie and I went to go visit one of her old old old!! friends, Natasha. (Or Auntie Natasha as I have called since before I can remember) I think those girls were friends the day they were born (I'm serious). But Natasha ended up being sick, so we couldn't see her...*cry*
So we all (Leslie, Pat, Mom and I) headed to the Inn we were going to stay at. We stayed up for a loong time watching movies and talking and stuff. Then this morning we had a really nice breakfast! Muffins, bagels, waffles (yummm) and juice and yogurt, things like that. We watched two more movies and then we checked out.
We then headed over to the malls to do a bit of holiday shopping. We all got some things at Old Navy and while we were in line this guy walked by me and would NOT stop staring. Patrick was like, "That gooberdoodle is checking your younger sister out, the one in the GAP shirt (that was especially funny considering we were in Old Navy...)Should I point at him to make him feel embarrassed?" Laslie and I just started laughing. He stared at me until we left the store though, creepy, though kinda cool to have a guy check me out.
After that we headed over to Tower Records. Leslie and Patrick left though, because they needed to go home and get ready for work, so that sucked. But Mom and I went in and I got a poster (Kelly Clarkson), a Christina Aguilera CD (Dirrty single). I also bought my mom a present!
I ran to the clerk before Mom saw where I went. As the guy was ringing it up my mom came over and I was like, "Stop! Stay right there!" And she realized I was buying her present, so she walked away. The guy rang it up but I was twenty cents short. So as I was searching for some more money through my bag (almost lost my sunglasses, my mp3player and something else because I was dumping my backpack out...) but then he was like "Don't worry about it, I got it." and paid the extra cents for me! I think it was because he found out it was a gift or something. I thought that was really cool though.
When we were finished there we just headed home and watched The Perfect Man, the one with Hilary Duff trying to cheer her date deprived mom up by faking a secret admirer. It's pretty good, but I was sorta disappointed.
Anywho! I think I'm off to bed now. I'm hecka tired.
Happy Thanksgiving all!
